Dr Bolognese Simsbury back specialistWhen patients come to me with leg pain caused by sciatica, it is usually caused by something deeper. Dr. Eugene Bolognese here. For years, I have successfully treated patients experiencing pain from sciatica, and I believe that I can help you, too.

What Is Sciatica?

Sciatica is a painful condition that is the result of an irritation of the sciatic nerve. But more often than not, sciatica is not the cause of your pain. It is usually a symptom of another condition, such as disc tearing and spinal stenosis. Other causes may also include irritations of the nerve caused by infections, tumors, injury and internal bleeding.

Some of the symptoms that you may experience if you have sciatica include numbness, pain and burning or tingling sensations going up and down the leg. The condition can also make walking extremely difficult.

The good news is that through a number of chiropractic therapies, including spinal manipulation, stretching and resistance techniques, and trigger point therapy, I can help bring relief.
